The police chief wants to close bars earlier because, in his mind, this stabbing wouldn't have happened if the bar had been closed. This is the same cop that wanted to keep the rifle registry to protect people from pistols. I say we need to keep bars open longer: if the bar had been closed, instead of being stabbed in a bar where there were witnesses to offer assistance, he would have been stabbed in the street where he was less visible, and therefore farther from assistance.
