As someone who tends to advocate for the right to carry in Canada, this story grabbed my attention. Unfortunately, I feel this is a story that demonstrates why people should not be armed. This officer speculates that the people that approached him had bad intentions, yet they looked "bewildered" when he was rude to them. I do not think the men that approached him had bad intentions, but instead were just in the friendly, party, atmosphere that is the Stampede... everyone is your friend and someone to chat to. 

As an advocate for the right to carry, I feel strange saying that I am glad this man was not armed.
