The anchors bug me... call it "Sugar Babies" and they are having some fun with it, if you were to call it "Prostitution" they would see it as a grave problem on the rise...
Part of me agrees with you so far as the classification of this as a type of prostitution is concerned. The other part of me can also imagine, however unlikely, that not all of these relationships are centered around sex. Some people really do just want companionship, even if it's in exchange for a particular lifestyle. Sex may come into play, but it doesn't have to. Either way, what happens between consenting adults is none of my business.
All of that said, since I have two daughters and don't want them to ever have to make this choice, I'll be working my ass off to try and set them up so that they don't have to fear for their livings and educations. Here's hoping!
+Brian Tomlinson I agree with you. I don't have a problem with the act of prostitution itself (consenting adults). I was serious about my problem being with the anchors... I really dislike Orwellian Double Speak, and view this story as such:

I agree that the line is fuzzy, but that is why its important that media personalities be a little more honest and not present it as clear cut.
