To my friends and relatives in Alberta thinking about paying extraordinary amounts for bottled water: go to the gas station, buy a gas can (unused), go home and fill it up at the tap (last I heard the taps were still clean).
Calgary might still have their boil water advisory. The other communities are currently okay.
There are a bunch or welcome centres set up for the evacuated. Also. My northern Alberta hometown would have ecoli outbreaks. We would fill the tub for water since we had to boil it anyway.
According to the news sources I have been watching, there has been no boil water advisory. The water has been, and still is, clean. Don't waste it though, it takes effort to get it clean.
