Hm. But we're already voting to have the government use guns to enforce property rights according to some set of rules of fair commerce. That arrangement is only as just as the rules chosen. And anyway, voting to have the government give poor people some of this money is just a change in the rules. The point is, the interventionist framework is there and the speaker makes no attempt to argue for its removal.
Now, as to what the rules should be -- well, that's a difficult question deserving of a sound democratic process. Not sound bites. :)
