I lost interest in TED about 10 years ago. Sure some of the presentations are interesting, but I take them as individual presentations rather than TED being interesting.
I'm a big fan of the trickle down effect. I figure if it is good enough I will eventually hear/see it. It's the same with books for me. If the book is good enough there will be a movie out about it soon in which case I'll watch the movie and not waste my time on the book.

+Josh Blaha "Trickle Down" That's exactly how I've seen the good ones I've spotted. I generally wait for the TEDites to pass it on to their friends; if it can get through about 4 generations, its probably worth watching.
Exactly. Ideas are great! And there are a lot of excellent ideas. But there is a lot of work, contribution, and dedication between those ideas and the realization of those ideas.
