We were discussing the use of Foreign Workers on another thread, and that it should not replace local workers.

This was the result for me: I sold my home.

Couldn't afford to pay the taxes without a job. Couldn't get a job because I was replaced with SAWP workers. Ended up having to sell my dream home and find work in the city.

Sad you had to give up your dream it looks like a wonderful place. I live on a farm i know how nice it is and how hard it would be to give it up.The government should look after it's own first my friend who is named Jeff as well lost his job to the new incarnation of this program.He spent 11 years working for a oil company only to be replaced with a foreign worker.

The most painful part is that I built a whole website, documenting my experience, with references to law, news articles, forums, tracking trends in TFW... but I can't publish because it would likely destroy our small business interests in Nova Scotia. The Wife is a professional artist and neither of us feel her career would survive the mud-slinging that would ensue if I published. So we remain quiet.

Makes me wonder how many others are just remaining quiet.
