Oh we pay the doctors here, its just there is a monopoly in NS that hides the costs from you.

My experience has led me to believe I would gladly pay if I could get healthcare at all. Wait months, or years, for healthcare? The monopoly in NS keeps its costs down by waiting for people to give up, or die.

The Wife is experiencing a similar issue to a friend of ours in the US. We have been working for 3 years to begin treatment, meanwhile my wife gets worse, and is limited in her job options. The woman in the US experienced her first symptoms in February and has is in her second week of recovery from the corrective surgery and has returned to work.

I would gladly compensate a doctor for their time and effort if they would treat us.

Based on the article linked to, that would have been $5000 in a competitive rather than monopolistic environment. (I strongly oppose monopolies)
