She just phoned me and (with a very confused tone) informed me that my consultation with the specialist had been cancelled. Apparently no explanation was given (or at least not one she can share with me), the specialist just cancelled the consult.
This is pretty scary. I know Nova Scotia is attempting to reduce wait times, but cancelling surgeries before they get scheduled (while effective) is probably not the most ethical solution.
