If it was fiction. I would use jukepop. As the initial launch site to generate interest. The terms are limited to six months exclusivity. And you can add or edit anytime. The six months apply to last chapter(s) entered or edited.

However, I don't know of a nonfiction or manual form, other than creating a e- reader PDF file and promoting on blog.


I haven't researched the field much. But there could be peer review sites hosted by universities somewhere. I may start researching if I have time this weekend.

I've written javascript epub readers, but I would need hosting somewhere... and that sounds like a chore. I also like the idea of readers leaving comments on the individual pages, not something you have via ePub.
