So, I replied to a comment on CBC.ca, having forgotten how restrictive they have become in the commenting. Therefore, I am posting it here for open trolling.

The original comment was basically stating that Canadians are awesome for everything they have done... not like those Brits or Americans.

Both Canada and the UK have taken in roughly the same number of migrants in the last year per capita (661 and 515, per 100000, respectively). Interestingly, that works out to 0.212/km2 (CA) and 1.361/km2 (UK) of migrants per habital area (if you consider Scotland habitable).

When compared to existing population density (3 people/km2 CA and 216 people/km2 UK), that's packing a lot of people into a small space. It would be irresponsible of the people of the UK, not to question their ability to absorb that kind of volume.

Contrast that with Canada's inability to entice 25,000 "refugees" into the country, only getting what they did by threatening. The few that were cajoled into coming have been dumped in hotels with no supporting infrastructure to assist their entry. I would say the Government has taken on more than it is capable of handling... and real people are suffering because of it.

Canadians really need to stop gloating about their superiority, and start taking note of some unpleasant realities.

Don't even get me started on my inability to get healthcare
