What would Lord Baden-Powell do?
I took my new motorized bicycle to my fishing hole for the first time today. Unfortunately, I was so excited, I forgot the actual fishing rod.
I tell you, no tiny problem like "no rod" is going to stop me from fishing!
I ended up cutting down a small tree with a 50 cent paring knife and using it as a fishing rod (old school).
Caught three fish:
* didn't land one
* released the 6 inch trout
* kept the 10.5 inch trout
Thanks for the Hawaiian Tropic suggestion. I love that stuff, but don't keep much around anymore.
Also, depending on the severity of the burn... I'd go to a walk in tomorrow. Health care is free, yo! ;)
I've lived in NS long enough now that I don't have to pay it, but I gladly would if I thought it would get me in. In my experience, it will take the walk-in 4 hours to tell me I won't be getting in for 3-4 days. I'll be in England by then.
Alternately, they'll treat me... In the past that has resulted in a visit to the ER and 3 days off work to patch up whatever the walk-in doctor has done. (One mole removal, and one hemorrhoid lancing, and a coworker sticking a paring knife through her hand... all three of which I personally pulled my debit card out for at the walk-in)
In my medical opinion, this requires Bag Balm and Scotch. In The Wife's medical opinion, this requires me to quit whining and poking at it ;) Maybe I'll pay a doctor while I'm in England (probably not)
Disclaimer: When discussing this issue, I always feel it necessary to point out: health care availability varies from province to province. Caronline, I know you are in urban Alberta; I got an education as to the nature of the problem when I moved to rural Nova Scotia. Having lived both rural and urban in Alberta, I would rate access to healthcare in urban Nova Scotia as worse than rural Alberta.
