+Carsten Führmann agreed, however once labelled with an undesirable trait, it is not long before all undesirable traits become associated with the individual.
I did not come up with this meme, however it is consistent with conversations, about Thatcher, with a British Homosexual couple (family friends for a time)
+Jefferey Cave What surprises me most is that homophobia is ascribed to a woman here. I used to think it's a trait that's almost exclusively reserved for men.
+Carsten Führmann A different debate, with different people: we were discussing whether the world would be a better place if women were leaders. I made the claim that genitalia was a poor predictor of desirability for leadership; citing Thatcher and Ghandi as examples of unpopular national leaders that were female.
The counter argument was that Thatcher wasn't a woman.
I think those that would ascribe psychological traits to genders have traditionally had a pretty loose definition of what constitutes gender. I think their definition is: "whatever fits my narrative"
(I know I should probably be using "sex" instead of "gender" but I've never liked the term "sex" as it refers to an act whereas "gender" was a reference to a physical trait until recently ... I'm old and slow to change)
