When I first started reading this article, I expected to hear that he had been in a coma for years. I would expect that assets would be sold off as expenses were incurred. However, it turns out this isn't a story about health care expenses.

Instead .... well .... The phrases "coma that lasted weeks" and "belongings had been given away" should not appear in an article together. Way to got "public employee".
