I don't know what the culture inside Microsoft is like, but I remember my first reaction to Nadella. I was working on a Mono based project, was running some code searches, and all of a sudden was looking at .NET core code.

WTF?

A bit of reading later: Balmers' gone...? Nadella's pushing Open Source ... ? The Shareholders are going to lynch him!

I was wrong, and am still unsure of what to make of this new Microsoft. I'm waiting for an Oracle moment where all the customers get sued... but it keeps getting more open.

I think I'm still in shock. It's only been 10 years.

I'm equally surprised. Been working with Windows Subsystem for Linux, and it actually works and isn't a nightmare.
