I'm not really sure what category to post this under, as it covers so many of my interests.

* as an instructor, this is going to be a probelm for me
* as an IT professional, I already had issue with the application of copyright law
* as a connoisseur of historic content I have spent a lot of time with books from the past

I am not happy with the direction the EU is going with this. In the past, releasing software in Europe was a strategic decision to ensure open access to the content, that may no longer be true.

Weren't the Poms right in voting for Brexit. The EU has become a horrible mess with unelected bureaucrats having way too much power.

The individuals, that I know personally, who supported Brexit, have cited law similar to this as their reasons.

Too many bureaucrats with not enough to do.
